Initial Planning
Discussion around the idea of a metadata repository began in 2016, with the creation of the first version of a metadata schema for clinical research data objects[1], with the focus very much on discoverability, access and provenance metadata. These discussions had stemmed from ECRIN's work within the H2020 CORBEL project, in particular the leadership of a group looking at 'data sharing' issues within clinical research
